New Stuff.

I know that I have left you alone for quite a while, just to say I'm heavily involved in a lot of village projects that have taken, and are taking far too much of my free time than I thought they would. As well as being  Admin for various Facebook pages I'm in the midst of getting a History book published, casting and painting numerous Fairy Doors for a big woodland project and am still recovering from all the work we put in to getting the Human Sundial restored and looking good, not to mention all the other stuff that keeps getting in the way of a 'pleasant calm and quiet retirement in the rolling Southern Highlands'.
So back to creativity....of a sort, thanks to the rippling stream of income from Getty and Trevillion I have reanimated my dear old faithful Nikon D700 that has spent many a year gently sobbing to itself on a dark shelf next to all the Polaroids, Bronicas and wacky old Italian roll film cameras I neglect. So, 105 f2.8 micro Nikkor purchased from MPB to go along with the 20mm f2.8 and 50mm f1.8 and the old gang is back together, but there is a problem. 
it's all well and good Adobe bloating out Photoshop and Lightroom with doohickey things that you may use once in a blue moon but I have reached the 'Event Horizon' where nothing will escape from the demands of extra ram, an all singing Gpu and the mere fact that this desktop box of mine is a decade old....so the search is on and I downloaded the spec from Adobe to see what budget strangling power was now needed to mash image files into something postable. Well done to my old Desktop for even having the courage to have a pop at some of the files I throw at it, it now appears that you need the computing power of Deep Thought to get the most out of Photoshop....ah well, tomorrow is payday and it appears Oxford road-the image is still out there and has now been optioned by easyjet and a Chinese publishing company and Trevillion have hawked the SECC Glasgow tunnel image again , albeit with just one licence, for Germany, but hey tomorrow, ze vorld!!
