Grist to the mill

...idiom..seperating the chaff from the grain..although I'm not sure if these are the former or later.. Some shots from the hills of Derbyshire illustrating unfinished and abandoned mill stones that litter certain parts of the Peak District. This time of year when the undergrowth dies back you can find these littering the countryside near any rocky outcrop..so without further ado...

You'd need a digger to move these if you were looking to use tham as a garden feature and if you enter the Peak District National park you are likely to find a Symbolic Millstone as an indicator that you are now in a National Park...... educational and informative...must be the caffeine kicking in earlier.
