As hard as I tried to shift Giacomettis as Fine Art prints back in the day I could never find any buyers...Monet, Gaugin, Mondrian and the like would be in, framed and gone...but Giacomettis would linger until sale time..but I liked them and would invariably sneak one or two in with a print order until their inevitable fate of being discounted and sold to anyone who had the gumption to haggle.. and on to Landerneau where the LeClerc foundation has put together an exhibition of the majority of his Sculpture and Images. 3 times I've been and it runs until October, chances are I'll go back. Now , over here in this here France a different attitude to viewing exhibitions is taken, want to take a Photo...mais oui, want to get so close to a painting your nose could touch the canvas..mais oui and so I took some iphone shots but soon realised that Bridge cameras and DSLrs were all out and clicking so here are some images
Here's a link Giacometti . Shot with the D700 and Nifty Fifty that seems to be my walkabout set up now.
