There is, apparently, nothing new under the sun., and these next few images are probably just an extension of something I and others have done before. It might be something you want to give a go because it's all 'in camera'. No software tomfoolery involved just a swish into mono in Lightroom and the job is done. So as per usual it is a 4 shot in camera multiple image, you'll have to rummage around in the camera menu system but most cameras will have it,....somewhere. I have my multi image shooting set up in the 'My Menu' section so a quick button click and I'm ready to go. So 4 shots and for each shot I de-focus a tiddly bit.....if you were shooting film you'd have to be prepared to bin a few rolls but with digital well just shoot and experiment. Now, if you want an image file that is probably usable straight off your card I suggest you use a bit of EV tweaking, you might be a jpeg shooter..so I'd take it down one maybe two stops of exposure, it's too early and I'm not caffeinated enough for me to waffle on about EV so here is something someone prepared earlier.. EV compensation
So three from the Valle des Saints 105mm micro,Iso 200, f6.3, 1/800 sec 4 shot in camera multi exposure slight defocus and movement between each one mono in Lightroom...job done...have fun with it.
